Commitment to Achieving Net Zero
Hasz Recruitment Solutions Ltd is committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that were produced in the past, prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. They are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.
Baseline year: 2025
| Emissions — Baseline (2025) | Total (tCO₂e) |
|---|---|
| Scope 1Direct emissions (e.g. fuel used by company vehicles or gas heating) | 20.40 |
| Scope 2Indirect emissions from purchased electricity used in our offices | 9.08 |
| Scope 3Other indirect emissions (staff commuting, business travel, purchased goods and services, waste disposal, and other supply chain activities) | 10.30 |
| Total emissions | 39.78 |
Current Emissions Reporting
Reporting year: 2026
| Emissions — Reporting (2026) | Total (tCO₂e) |
|---|---|
| Scope 1Direct emissions (e.g. fuel used by company vehicles or gas heating) | 19.19 |
| Scope 2Indirect emissions from purchased electricity used in our offices | 8.40 |
| Scope 3Other indirect emissions (staff commuting, business travel, purchased goods and services, waste disposal, and other supply chain activities) | 9.20 |
| Total emissions | 37.79 |
Emissions Reduction Targets
In order to continue our progress towards achieving net zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets.
We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 29.835 tCO₂e by 2031 — a reduction of 25%.
Carbon Reduction Projects & Future Initiatives
In the future we hope to implement further measures such as:
- Transitioning to fully digital recruitment and onboarding processes, reducing reliance on paper-based documentation, printing, and physical filing systems.
- Expanding the use of remote interviewing and virtual onboarding platforms to significantly reduce travel-related emissions for candidates, staff, and clients.
- Adopting a hybrid and remote working model where operationally feasible, reducing daily commuting emissions for administrative and recruitment staff.
- Implementing energy-efficient office practices, including LED lighting, smart power management systems, and procurement of energy-efficient IT equipment.
- Prioritising cloud-based infrastructure and digital systems to minimise reliance on physical servers and reduce energy consumption.
- Encouraging low-carbon business travel, including use of public transport, car-sharing, and reducing non-essential travel to client sites and events.
- Working with suppliers and partners to improve Scope 3 emissions reporting and environmental responsibility, particularly within healthcare staffing supply chains.
- Strengthening internal policies for waste reduction and recycling, including minimising single-use materials in office environments.
- Increasing staff awareness through sustainability training and environmental responsibility initiatives to embed low-carbon practices across the organisation.
- Monitoring carbon emissions annually and setting progressively stricter reduction targets aligned with the journey toward net zero.
